Meet The Team
Edward, a larger-than-life character, is known for his warmth, charm and straight-talking. Having founded Sidmouth Design over 30 years ago, at the core is his ability to see the architectural potential of any structure or building, combined with his natural creative flair for interior and exterior design. Transforming buildings into highly desirable homes and successful commercial enterprises. He finds much of his inspiration in light and nature and enjoys exploring the Devon and Cornwall coast, whether tasting the local cuisine or swimming in the sea.
Alan oversees all aspects of our construction projects, from concept to completion. With over 30 years of experience working in construction and property development in the UK and Australia, he has both the theoretical knowledge and practical understanding to manage any project or development. An approachable, fun-loving individual he is never without a social engagement, be it cooking for large groups, a sports event or boat trips with family and friends, which he tries to balance with a variety of outdoor exercise.
Charlene has the extraordinary capacity to approach any task with a smile and applies her meticulous approach to any undertaking here in the studio. When she isn't processing bills or orders, she is overseeing a plethora of tasks with her can-do attitude. Outside the office, when she’s not embarking on DIY for her own home renovation, Charlene loves nothing more than spending time with her family exploring the Jurassic coastline by land or sea.
Vicky has hit the ground running, embracing the studio's meet-and-greet role with her warm and friendly nature. Having worked in events and marketing for over 25 years, she has been able to use her extensive knowledge and experience in the design and management of Sidmouth Design's website, social media platforms and branding. She enjoys a challenge and learning new skills, whether it's floristry, silversmithing and more recently SWDI (Scandinavian Working Dog Institute) scent training her loveable but slightly crazy Vizsla, often combined with family walks in the Devon countryside.
